down to the wire
This Friday, May 17, 2013 is the opening to the Bachelors of Fine Arts Thesis Show at Columbia College Chicago. Two of Columbia’s galleries, the C33 and the A&D will be exhibiting work created by my graduating peers and myself.
The installation for this show was this weekend. I can tell you from my shared studio experience with these artists and the final professional setup in the gallery spaces that this is not a show to miss. Our artists are dedicated and skilled and ready to take on the art world collaborating communicating and competing.
My Project entitled “Burrow” is located at the C33 Gallery, 33 E Congress Pkwy, first floor, Chicago, IL 60605.
Please stop by to experience the work and potentially interact by crawling in.
Congratulations to those participating and Thank You to all of our amazing supporters, faculty, artists and peers.

I’m writing a paper for class, so far my intro is,
In the future the threat of ourselves is still inescapable, Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse and Firefly relate to the tradition of its fictional future genre predecessors in that they reflect our fear of the Freudian “uncanny”. Even with technological advancements and infinite new discovery, human nature is ultimately our greatest weakness and if the advanced capabilities warp our morality what can we become? What have we become?

open studio night was a success! Here are some of the people who willingly participated with my latest work.
I learned how to laser cut and so, New business cards!!
I went to Michigan over the weekend with my roommate. I really love the escape to the non-city life outdoors but I also missed quite a few important openings. Nevertheless, fresh air and detachment from society put me in a making mode and now I have some exciting projects planed out.
By the way, my roommate is also an artist. An amazing one.
